This Is An Interview With Mist

Maltos - Lets Start Back in 10/27/2017 when you started, how did you find Newgrounds and what keeps you here 477 posts later?

Mist - I've had older accounts and been on newgrounds a long time on and off. I like the design of newgrounds where you can submit multiple types of media and have it all neatly on one page, since I make music and art, this place really helps me show my work.

Maltos - You've submitted 81 pieces of art. What inspires or motivates your art work?

Mist - I've been drawing since I was a kid. I got back into it a few years ago and started doing digital art and become kind of obsessed. I'm mainly inspired by science fiction, fantasy, and retro video games.

All my art is concept art for video games I want to make in the future. That being said, I don't consider myself an artist, but a designer.

Maltos - You've submitted 67 audio submissions tell us about your music.

Mist - I started playing piano and drums since I was a kid. That taught me music theory and stuff. I gave them up because I wasn't progressing. So I changed genres all together and started making Electronic and Rap music. Listening to underground electronic, retro video game OST's, and mostly 90's Rap. I love experimenting and trying to push my music to the limit. Even though I've only made a few metal songs, I am really inspired by progressive metal because it's complex and progressive. I don't have much of a following yet but I enjoy doing it anyway. I enjoy challenging myself and always try to improve.

Maltos - Who are you when you're away from Newgrounds?

Mist - I'm just some asshole that likes to be creative.

Maltos - What do you do for work?

Mist - I've had many jobs in the past, mostly customer service jobs. They never lasted long because I am not a good people person. I have a year of college done then I dropped out, it wasn't for me. So now I don't work, I suffer from anxiety and depression among other things.

Maltos - You've been the center of conversation on the BBS tell us about that.

Mist - I get attention easily just by being myself, whether it's positive or negative. I believe the earth is flat and the moon landings were faked and that seems to really piss people off. A few will have a civil conversation about it with me but most will just laugh and call me a retard, and I find this sad. I just didn't wake up one day and have these beliefs, it's through years of research, and to get shit on, it really upsets me.

Maltos - Are there any Users you like or dislike?

Mist - Yes, I like the intelligent users, and for the one's I dislike I'm not going to name names.

Maltos - How do you feel about the forum MODs?

Mist - Some are good, some are bad, just like the police.

Mist - I believe the powers that be (The Illuminati) control the world and tell us what to believe, and when you try to tell others these are false beliefs it's very hard because they are set in their ways.
